Mrs. Murphy’s Choir – selfie
Setting intention is a powerful thing. We came up with the idea of going to Ireland as a choir a couple of decades ago, but it wasn’t until last June that we set our intentions in earnest and started this journey. We didn’t know exactly how we would make it happen and we weren’t even sure if or how it would be possible for every one of us to go. We just knew that somehow we would figure things out.
The decision to setup a GoFundMe campaign was not an easy one for us. It’s never easy to ask for help. But we’ve been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support — both moral and financial — that we’ve received so far! Thanks to that campaign and other private donations, the cost of our trip will be significantly reduced, and all nine of us have put down our deposits… It’s really happening!
We’re not there yet, so the fundraising campaign is still on. But we’re well on our way. And we look forward to raising pints in an Irish pub in honor of all who have supported us along this journey!
Hello Girls
I see your coming to Ireland.I live in the town of westport co.mayo Ireland, Not far from Kylemore abbey. I see your fundraising too. So I was wondering Would you sing at my daughters wedding drinks reception on July 30th if you are still in the area? Or at a fun rehearsal dinner on the Friday night july 29th . And of course at what price?
You will Love Ireland. I am from Pa but have lived here for 31 years. Can not wait to hear back from you .

Hi Karen,
Thank you so much for contacting us! Sadly, we will be leaving Ireland on June 30th so we won’t be available to sing for your daughter’s wedding events — but we most appreciate the request! We enjoy singing at weddings and parties and I’m sure yours would have been a lot of fun. We will be coming to Kylemore Abbey on Monday, June 27th and we are scheduled to do a 13:00 performance in the Gothic Church at Kylemore if you would like to come and see/hear us. We’d enjoy having the chance to connect with a fellow American and hear about your experiences living in Ireland. (And bring your friends!)
Thanks again for your interest and we hope we can connect in Ireland!
