A huge thanks to all of our friends, family and supporters who came to our concert last Sunday! We hope you had as much fun as we did. Maybe more…since we now know which songs we need to keep working on before we unleash our talents and enthusiasm on the Irish audience. 🙂 Practice, practice, practice!
You’ll notice there are only eight of us in the picture. We were very sad that our choirmate, director and arranger Kate Campbell caught a nasty bug and wasn’t able to sing with us in the concert. She’s feeling much better (thank goodness) and will be happily joining us in Ireland.
We’ll be arriving on June 22 in Dublin and have five performances scheduled over the course of the following week in Cork, Killarney (2 performances), the Gothic church at Kylemore Abbey near Galway and Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin. And, of course, we plan on doing a lot of impromptu singing in Irish pubs all along the way. We hope to chronicle our experiences and performances here with a few images and maybe even a video or two.
In between, we’ll be visiting the Rock of Cashel, Blarney Castle, Muckross House & Gardens, the Dingle Peninsula and Beehive Huts, Bunratty Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey & Gardens, Trinity College and other sights in Dublin.
Stay tuned here for more. And thanks again to everyone who has contributed to our GoFundMe fundraising campaign — you helped us take this wild-haired dream and turn it into a reality.
Sláinte!
