MMC had a big day on Saturday. We kicked it off with a small gathering at our founder Gail Murphy’s house then loaded up the vans and headed West for three holiday performances in Hillsboro.
The whole crew, plus Bill Crane (our sometimes vocal coach, accompanist and all-around cheerleader) went to lunch at Vivi’s Noodle House.
After a long and wonderful day of singing, holiday cheer and a few fits of laughter (in the van, not on stage, thank goodness), we discovered three important things:
1) In a pinch, we can all (almost) fit into Diane’s van (it might be a tighter squeeze when some of our additional members rejoin us after the holidays).
2) There’s nothing quite like Vivi’s hot chicken soup (Pho Ga) to keep our voices warmed up… (except maybe that holiday spiced beverage someone managed to sneak into the van…)
3) Three gigs are our limit for one day!
